Police: Suspect Charged In Rape Of 10-Year-Old Brooklyn Girl
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police have charged a man who they said is suspected of raping a 10-year-old girl in Brooklyn back in October.
Edwin Caizaguano, 24, was charged with rape, assault predatory sexual assault against a child, sexual abuse, sexual misconduct and acting in a manner injurious to a child, police said Friday.
He was arrested earlier this week in Saint Paul, Minn. by the NYPD's Fugitive Apprehension Team, police said.
The incident happened inside a home on Moffat Street on Oct. 19. Police said the girl needed surgery after the alleged assault.
Caizaguano also goes by the name Patricio Caizaguano.
