Man, 44, Found Fatally Shot In North Bay Shore, Long Island

NORTH BAY SHORE, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- A 44-year-old man was found fatally shot early Sunday morning in North Bay Shore.

Police responded to Heckscher Avenue near Prospect Place just after midnight after their ShotSpotter detection system indicated that several shots had been fired in that area. Once they arrived, they discovered the victim, Marcelo Argueta, who had been shot once by an unknown person, police said.

Argueta was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.
