1/18 CBS2 Monday Morning Weather Forecast

By Matt DeLucia
CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer

Good morning, everyone! It's a cold MLK Day across the tri-state as temperatures struggle to hit the 30 degree mark. With wind gusts up to 35 mph, it will feel more like the teens! There will be a few snow showers moving through, but not everyone will see them. Expect a mix of sun and clouds otherwise.

Tonight temperatures bottom out in the teens for most, even some single digits north and west. Wind chills out the door Tuesday morning will be subzero for many, so be sure to bundle up! This is dangerous to be outside in without covering exposed skin. Sunny skies Tuesday will be deceiving... another day in the 20s.

We bounce back into the 30s by midweek and the winds lessen, so not as harsh. We're keeping an eye on the potential for our first real shot at some decent snowfall. Many of the models bring a coastal storm up to our area Friday night into Saturday. Still plenty of time and a lot can change, so be sure to stay tuned to CBS2 this week for the latest.

Have a good one and bundle up!
