Jets' Williams, Giants' Collins And Tye Named To PFWA All-Rookie Team

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Jets defensive end Leonard Williams, Giants safety Landon Collins and Giants tight end Will Tye have been voted to the Pro Football Writers of America All-Rookie Team.

The group announced its team Tuesday.

Williams, the sixth overall selection in last year's draft, started 15 games for the Jets, recording 63 tackles and three sacks.

The Giants drafted Collins with the first pick in the second round. He started all 16 games, led the team with 112 tackles and had one interception.

Tye, an undrafted rookie out of Stony Brook, started seven games and caught 42 passes for 464 yards and three touchdowns.

The PFWA voted Rams running back Todd Gurley, who rushed for 975 yards and eight touchdowns, as the rookie of the year and the top offensive rookie.

Chiefs cornerback Marcus Peters, who tied for the NFL lead with eight interceptions, was named defensive rookie of the year.
