NYPD: 70-Year-Old Man Assaulted At Bowery Subway Station
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The NYPD is searching for a suspect who allegedly assaulted a 70-year-old man at a Manhattan subway station Friday afternoon.
According to police, the 70-year-old victim was pushed to the ground by an unidentified suspect as he was entering the Bowery Street subway station at around 3 p.m. Jan. 29.
The suspect took the man's MetroCard and an undetermined amount of money before fleeing the scene, police said.
The victim was taken to a local hospital where he was treated for a laceration to his forehead, police said.
The investigation is ongoing.
