2/1 CBS2 Monday Afternoon Weather Headlines

By Justin Lewis
CBS2 Meteorologist

Rain chances will increase across the southeastern half of the area this afternoon, but we're not talking about much... more of a nuisance, really, where we do see any rainfall. As for highs, they'll be close to that of yesterday... mid 50s.

The rain wraps up far south and east by the middle part of this evening with clearing skies in its wake. It will be a little chillier tomorrow morning... upper 30s instead of around 50° like this morning.

Sunshine will prevail on Groundhog Day with slightly cooler temps... only topping out in the upper 40s.

As for Wednesday, we'll return to that mild feel, but it will turn wet -- perhaps even a little soggy -- as another system swings through.

Check back for more on the rest of the week!
