NYPD Searches For Suspects In 7-Eleven ATM Skimming Scheme

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The NYPD is looking for suspects in connection to a debit card skimming scheme and subsequent credit card fraud targeting 7-Eleven locations in Queens.

According to police, the men installed debit card skimming devices in several 7-Eleven locations and then used customer data to make fraudulent ATM purchases.

Five incidents of fraudulent purchases were made in connection to the scheme, with approximately $2900 withdrawn in total, police said. Reports of unauthorized debit card activity were reported in the Flushing, Queens Village and Forest Hills sections of Queens, according to police.

The incidents took place between August and October 2015. Police have released surveillance photos of the three suspects, which can be viewed above.

Police are asking anyone with information about the suspect to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS. Callers can remain confidential.
