Brooklyn Man Accused Of Selling Fake State Vehicle Inspection Stickers

HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- A Brooklyn man is accused of advertising and selling fake state vehicle inspection stickers.

Police say Octavian Ocasio was arrested after undercover detectives bought a fake inspection sticker from him in a Lynbrook parking lot.

They say the fraudulent stickers were advertised on the website Letgo.

Ocasio is scheduled to be arraigned in Hempstead on Wednesday on charges of falsifying business records and three counts of possessing a fictitious inspection sticker.

It wasn't immediately clear if he had a lawyer who could comment on the charges.
