$2 Million Bail Set For Coram Man Accused Of Running Drug Operation With Son

CORAM, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- A judge on Thursday set bail at $2 million for a man accused of running a drug operation with his son out of his Long Island home.

The judge set 40-year-old Joseph Fearon's bail so high because of his extensive criminal history, WCBS 880's Sophia Hall reported.

Fearon and his 23-year-old son, Jasheme, are accused of selling a myriad of drugs out of their two-bedroom home in Coram.

"A lot of drugs; that's all I can say. I mean, over half a kilo of cocaine just in the bedroom," said Suffolk County Assistant District Attorney Saam Jalayer.

Authorities allege a search warrant for the home turned up 730 grams of cocaine, 318 grams of heroin, and 36 grams of oxycodone.

Jalayer said they also found Jasheme's toddler son in the home along with $200,000 in cash.

Lawyers for both the men claim their clients were not involved in any crimes.

Jasheme Fearon's bail was set at $200,000.
