2/13 CBS2 Saturday Evening Weather Headlines

By Mark McIntyre, CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer

YIKES it's cold out there! Make sure you bundle up if you plan on going out tonight...or better yet just stay in. Actual temps in the city  drop to low single digits with chills in the negative teens late overnight! It looks like NYC will bottom out at 2 degrees above zero, but many folks in the 'burbs will be way colder than that.

Evening Alerts

Tomorrow looks like an ice cold Valentine's Day with temps stuck in the single digits and teens. The morning wind chills will be downright brutal, feeling like anywhere from -10 to -30! So much for the abundant sunshine we'll have tomorrow...just make sure you're dressed for warmth & safety as any exposed skin is susceptible to quick frostbite, and hypothermia risks will run high too!

Evening Valentines Day

For the week ahead, we have an interesting storm taking shape. President's Day will be "warmer" with temps in the mid 30s and we'll have some snow moving in for the evening commute, changing to an icy mix Monday night before turning to rain Tuesday. Some slushy snowfall is possible before temps surge Monday night and top out near 50 Tuesday! With that, we'll get a windy soaking rain, enough to bring localized flooding issues.

Stay tuned and make sure to stay warm!
