Brandon Marshall: 'I Own' Bill Belichick

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Brandon Marshall's trash-talking is already in midseason form.

The New York Jets wide receiver responded to a question on Twitter Tuesday night where someone asked him if New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick haunts his dreams.

Marshall's response, "I own him."

Marshall might like to think that, but his record against Belichick and the Patriots speaks otherwise.

Marshall is 3-7 against the Pats while playing for the Denver Broncos, Miami Dolphins, Chicago Bears, and Jets. Over those 10 games, he's accumulated 787 yards receiving and five touchdowns.

He did "own" the Patriots in Week 16, catching two touchdowns to help knock Belichick and Tom Brady from the number one seed in the AFC. But he did play a big role in the Patriots win over the Jets earlier last season by dropping a touchdown and getting flagged for a false start near the end of the game.

Earlier this week, Pittsburgh Steelers running back DeAngelo Williams said Brady is the only Patriot who likes Belichick.
