Sneak Peek: Behind The Scenes With This Weekend's Biggest Movie Releases

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- It's been awhile since we had some real blockbusters dominate the movie world and that is about to change.

Morgan Freeman, Christian Bale and Tina Fey, among other A-list Hollywood stars, are all competing for the top spot this weekend at the box office.

Tina Fey stars in "Whiskey Tango Foxtrot." The film, based on a memoir, follows the story of a reporter looking for adventure who also happens to find love in a war zone, CBS2's Jill Nicolini reports.

"I definitely identify with that thing where your work becomes your everything and the people you work with become your entire world," Fey said.

Christian Bale stars in "Knight of Cups" as a Hollywood screenwriter who becomes addicted to success and women -- including Cate Blanchett and Natalie Portman.

"He is somebody who has kind of reached the mountain top of what he dreamed of and realizes he is still the same guy," Bale said.

In the Disney animated film "Zootopia," all animals -- big and small -- come to live together. Ginnifer Goodwin plays a rabbit cop who teams up with a sly fox, played by Jason Bateman, in hopes to solve a mystery.

"My character believes anyone can be anything. Jason Bateman's character believes you are what you are and those two... have to duke it out," Goodwin said.

The film also features pop star Shakira as a Gazelle.

The action thriller "London Has Fallen" is also out starring Gerard Butler and Morgan Freeman. World leaders happen to be in the wrong place at the same time when terrorists attack.

Disney's Zootopia already made $1.7 million during its opening Friday night and is expected to come in first place this weekend.
