2-Alarm Fire Rips Through Park Slope Apartment Building

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork)-- A two-alarm fire ripped through a residential building in Park Slope Saturday afternoon.

New York Fire Department officials said the fire started around 12:50 p.m. on 236 12th Street in Park Slope, Brooklyn. Firefighters had the flames under control by 1:34 p.m.

Two minor injuries were reported as a result of the fire, including one civilian and one firefighter who were taken to New York Methodist Hospital.

One adult required Red Cross assistance, officials told CBS2.
