Annual March Of Dimes "March For Babies" Coming To New York City

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Thousands of New Yorkers are expected to come together next Saturday for the annual March of Dimes "March for Babies" walk next weekend.

This year, more than 1,000 companies, unions hospitals, families and even New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning are expected to attend this year's walk.

The 3.5-mile walk will place on Sunday, April 24 at 10 a.m., starting at 65th Street and Broadway and ending at 26th Street and Madison Avenue.

The organization hopes to raise $2.3 million from the New York City event. The money will help fund research and education to help promote healthy pregnancies and healthy babies for all families.

CBS2's Vanessa Murdock sat down with one ambassador family to hear their incredible story and to learn about why they support the March of Dimes initiative.

CBS2 is a proud sponsor of the family-friendly event.
