WCBS 880, 1010 WINS Win Murrow Awards For Breaking News, Morning Newscast

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- WCBS Newsradio 880 and 1010 WINS are both recipients of prestigious Edward R. Murrow Awards.

1010 WINS takes home the award for regional Outstanding Morning Newscast and WCBS 880 was honored with the Breaking News Award for its coverage of the Metro-North tragedy.

The Radio Television Digital News Association has been honoring outstanding achievements in electronic journalism with the annual Edward R. Murrow Awards since 1971. Murrow was a pioneer in broadcast news who spent his entire career at CBS.
