Police: Man Responsible For Graffiti Across Staten Island Arrested

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A man who police said is responsible for more than a dozen acts of graffiti across Staten Island has been arrested.

Juan Rivera, 38, was taken into custody Thursday morning on Central Avenue by the Citywide Vandals Task Force and the graffiti coordinator of the 120th precinct.

Police said Rivera was wanted for one act of graffiti, but further investigation found he was behind 13 other incidents in the borough, defacing property with the tag name "MASH," according to police.

Authorities released several photos of some of the graffiti that showed the word "MASH" painted on mailboxes, walls and the sidewalk.
