100-Year-Old Brooklyn Woman Completes Record-Breaking Run At Penn Relays

PHLADELPHIA (CBSNewYork)-- A record-breaking run at this year's Penn Relays in Philly was set by a 100-year-old woman from Brooklyn.

Ida Keeling became the oldest runner to compete in the hundred-meter dash for ages 80 and older. She clocked in at one minute and 17.33 seconds.

Ida spoke about what keeps her going, and offered a little life advice.

"It's the best exercise I know for any condition. Do what you need to do not what you want to do and make sure you exercise at least once every day," she said.

Ida ran her first rage at age 67 and hasn't stopped since.
