Indiana Takes Spotlight As Candidates Gear Up For Tuesday's Primary

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork)-- Indiana is in the spotlight as presidential candidates gear up for the state's primary on Tuesday.

A new poll released Sunday showed the Democratic candidates are neck-and-neck while Republican front-runner Donald Trump maintains his lead, CBS2's Brook Silver-Braga reported.

Clinton and Trump traded shots on Sunday, just two days before the primary.

"She is crooked Hillary," Trump said.

On CNN's "State of the Union," Clinton questioned Trump's foreign policy.

"His idea that he has a 'secret plan' that he's going to get rid of ISIS that he's not going to tell anybody, I found it disturbing," Clinton said.

On Fox News Sunday, Trump said he would use Bernie Sanders' words against Clinton. The Vermont senator, who trails Clinton in the delegate count, questioned if she was qualified to be president after taking Wall Street money.

"What Bernie Sanders said is a lot worse than what I said, and I'm gonna use that, we'll have that teed up," Trump said.

Clinton mingled with voters at a pancake house in Indiana, where she leads Sanders by 4 points.

"There are 10 states and some other contests coming up. We think we're strong in many of those states, including California, our largest state. We think we have a chance to win the majority of pledged delegates," Sanders said.

Trump leads the latest Indiana poll by 15 points.

"Cruz cannot win, he's not no highway-- he's got nothing. He's way behind," Trump said.

"Obviously in Indiana, Governor Pence is incredibly well-respected and having his support, I think, is very, very meaningful as voters head into election day on Tuesday," Cruz said.

South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham, who supports Cruz, appeared on "Face The Nation" saying the primary in Indiana is big, but regardless of the outcome, he thinks Cruz should stay in the race through the end.
