When Jerry Recco comes down with a "case of the Mondays," we all benefit.

That's exactly what happened to start the new work week as the update maven was heard doing his thing inside the Allstate Studio and doing it well.

The update focused on the Yankees and Mets, who had mixed results this past weekend. Luis Serevino showed some improvement but still lost Sunday night as the Bombers dropped the series finale to the Red Sox. The Yankees should get a boost Monday with the return of Aroldis Chapman from suspension. As for the Mets, Matt Harvey spearheaded a big win on Sunday, a day after Bartolo Colon made some history.

As for the NBA playoffs, LeBron and the Cavs kept rolling, and the Thunder and the Spurs are now knotted at two game apiece.
