Seen At 11: The Secret Site Where Gwyneth Paltrow And Ivanka Trump Store Wardrobe Must-Haves

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork)-- From fancy cars to priceless art, even the rich and famous sometimes need a place to put their stuff.

The top secret storage is off-limits to the general public, but CBS2 got a sneak peak.

In a nondescript section of Long Island City, Queens, there is a storage company so exclusive and under the radar, you'd never even know it was there.

"Security is very important we have an undisclosed location for a reason we don't publish our address anywhere," Adam Gilvar of Garde Robe told CBS2's Kristine Johnson.

Garde Robe houses some of the world's most expensive wardrobes. Among the clients are Ivanka Trump, supermodel Iman, and Gwyneth Paltrow.

But many others, much as they like to keep their personal lives private, prefer to keep their storage space a secret as well.

"I  think discretion is a big part of what we offer," Gilvar said.

Items, like an Oscar de La Renta gown and a Chanel power-suit, are photographed, cleaned and catalogued. Clients can call up their virtual wardrobe on an iPad and have anything delivered and ready-to-wear in 90 minutes or less.

"There are fashion emergencies," Gilvar said. "They need a gown, they need their feather boa and they need it right away."

The 15,000-square-feet of space houses some 30,000 items. The space is air purified and temperature-controlled.

"Really what we offer is an ideal environment for the clothing," Gilvar said.

And it's not just in New York City. In Fort Lauderdale, Florida, robots run the show.

From exotic cars to multi-million dollar wine collections and priceless pieces of art, Robovault owner Susan McGregor said it's this unique system that minimizes any damage to precious belongings.

"Well there is a reason we use the robotic system, the reason it's so unique and important, first of all there is no human access here," McGregor said.

All if it is stored out of harms way.

"Also it's secure. Everything is stored 50 to 70 feet above sea level," she said.

High-end storage can cost thousands of dollars a year, but those in the business said if you're going to splurge on big-ticket items, it's worth it to take good care of them.

"That's really what we afford our clients is peace of mind in knowing that their investment is going to be preserved and in safe hands," Gilvar added.

It's not just clothes and fancy cars that need special care. Robovault even recently stored dinosaur bones that were ultimately shipped to a museum in New York.
