Cops: Thieves Tasered Woman, Fled Lower Manhattan Bail Office With $30,000

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are looking for two suspects wanted in an alleged taser attack and robbery that took place in Lower Manhattan.

Just after 7 p.m. on Tuesday, two men entered the Manhattan Detention Complex on White Street, tasered a 66-year-old woman, and made off with a purse containing $30,000, police said.

The suspects took off eastbound on Canal Street in what was described as a silver or white Lexus.

The victim was taken to NY Downtown Hospital where she was treated for minor injuries and released.

The suspects have both been described as black males in their late 20's to early 30's. One was wearing a blue sweater with a white zipper, grey jogging pants, white sneakers with white laces, and a black baseball cap. He was carrying the purse after the robbery, police said.

The second suspect was wearing a green camouflage hoody with blue jeans and black sneakers.

Police obtained surveillance photos from a restaurant located at 220 Canal Street.
