With Jerry Recco waking up in sunny Florida on Friday morning, the ever-capable Chris Lopresti was filling in for the "update maven" and filling in admirably.

"C-Lo" covered the story surrounding the Yanks' 7-3 win over the Royals on Thursday, which was highlighted by Chase Headley's first home run, and the Mets, who didn't provide any highlights in their 5-0 loss to the Dodgers in Los Angeles.

In the NBA playoffs, the Thunder sent the Spurs home and will now start preparing to take on the Warriors in the Western Conference finals. In the NHL, the Sharks downed the Predators to advance to the Western Conference finals.

All of that plus poor C-Lo, the proud new father, had his gender reveal party put under the microscope.
