Queens Man Arrested In Connection With Nassau County Break-Ins
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A man accused of breaking into at least two Nassau County homes was behind bars on Saturday morning.
Police arrested Everton Augustus of Queens on Friday.
Investigators said around 3:30, Thursday afternoon, the suspect entered a New Hyde Park home on Blossom Lane and stole jewelry, electronics, and cash.
They said a short time later he stole jewelry from a home on Evergreen Lane.
Police were able to catch the 27-year-old with the help of neighbors who snapped photos of the alleged getaway car.
