25 People Displaced Following 3-Alarm Fire In Jersey City

JERSEY CITY, N.J. (CBSNewYork)-- Dozens of people were displaced after a three-alarm fire broke out in Jersey City Saturday morning.

Firefighters said the fire started in the rear of a home on Ege Avenue, then spread to homes on both sides.

No injuries were reported, but 25 people and several pets were displaced.

There is no word yet on what caused the fire. The arson squad is investigating reports of construction work going on in the home where the fire started.
