Film Studio Gives Behind-The-Scenes Tour Of Movie Magic

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork)-- A movie lover's paradise became a reality as cinema fans were able to walk through their favorite action shots created right before their eyes.

CBS2's Magdalena Doris got a behind-the-scenes tour at Kaufman Astoria Studios.

The back lot of the studios opened up to movie lovers of New York hoping to take in the sights.

"The behind the scenes people who pretty much don't get recognized are a big part of the movie," one visitor said.

It's an up-close look at what it takes. So what's it feel like to get beat up by villains and superheroes every day?

"It's awesome! It's the best thing in the world," one stunt worker said.

How about lighting yourself on fire for entertainment purposed?

"Each time is better than the last," another said.

While most of us don't think about what it takes to make our favorite action scenes come to life, this is their life's passion.

"You feel like almost in a way that you are an artist and this is our work," stunt driver Mike Burke said.

By showing people the amount of effort they put in on set, the cheering crowds and peering eyes are built in job security in a way.

"As great as CGI has been for film and how much we can do with it, a live fire is always more exciting," one man said.
