Duo Wanted In Two Armed Robberies In Brooklyn

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police have released surveillance video of a duo wanted for robbing two food stores at gunpoint in Brooklyn.

The first incident occurred on April 24 at the Quick Stop Deli on Humboldt Street in Williamsburg. The suspects forced a 29-year-old worker to the floor and then took off with two cellphones, a tablet and about $300 in cash.

On May 8, police believe the same suspects struck again, this time at a store in Brownsville. They pointed a gun and demanded money from two employees at the Saratoga Food Corp. on Saratoga Avenue, police said. When the workers resisted, police said the suspects forced them to the ground and took two cellphones and $1,500 in cash before fleeing.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS, visit the Crime Stoppers website, or text tips to 274637 (CRIMES) and enter TIP577.
