Suspect Takes Off After Punching Woman Walking Her Dog In Chelsea

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are trying to identify and track down a man wanted in connection with an assault that took place in Chelsea on Sunday.

According to authorities a 52-year-old woman was walking her dog just after 10 p.m. when an unidentified man became aggravated, yelled at her, and threw and unknown object before punching her in the face breaking her nose.

The suspect fled westbound on West 15th Street.

The victim was not hospitalized.

The suspect has been described as a white male, last seen wearing a baseball cap, jacket, pants, and sneakers.
