Cops: 2-Year-Old Long Island Girl Drowns In Swimming Pool
BRENTWOOD, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- A 2-year-old girl drowned in a swimming pool in Brentwood, Long Island, on Friday, police said.
Arlyn Vanegas-Luna was found unresponsive around 4:30 p.m. in her next door neighbor's backyard pool, Suffolk County police said. The Chestnut Street neighbor is also related to the toddler, according to cops.
The girl was rushed by ambulance to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore, where she was pronounced dead.
Police are investigating.
