5/29 CBS2 Sunday Afternoon Weather Headlines

By Mark McIntyre

CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer

Happy Sunday, folks. Hope your long holiday weekend has been good so far. If you haven't had a chance to enjoy the outdoors, you'll wanna do it today. Hot and humid today with more clouds later this afternoon. Temps reach the mid and upper 80s for most, cooler at the beaches.

For Memorial Day, it looks like a soaker! A storm system coming from the Great Lakes will grab moisture from Tropical Depression Bonnie and send heavy rain our way. We won't get any direct impacts from Bonnie, but we will get periodic downpours. Not the best news for a holiday, but we really do need some rain. It'll be cooler too with temps only in the mid 70s.

And just our luck, the weather will improve Tuesday when we all have to go back to work/school with sunny skies and temps back into the mid 80s, and more sunshine Wednesday with temps around 80 for the high.

Have a good one!
