New Jersey Cancels Several Memorial Day Parades Due To Weather Concerns

PARAMUS, N.J. (CBSNewYork)-- Several parades throughout New Jersey have been cancelled due to rainy weather conditions expected for Monday.

Check out the announcements from parade officials and alternate arrangements below:

Paramus
Due to the forecasted inclement weather tomorrow's parade has been cancelled and services have been relocated from Memorial School to the senior center starting 10 a.m. sharp.

Rochelle Park
The Memorial Day Parade is cancelled. Memorial services will be held at the American Legion at 9:30 a.m.

Township of Brick
Due to expected inclement weather, the 2016 Memorial Day Parade is canceled. The Memorial Day Ceremony will be in Town Hall at 10 a.m.

Saddle River
Due to the anticipated inclement weather approaching our area, the Memorial Day Parade has been canceled. A memorial service will be held in its place at Saddle River Borough Hall at 11:00 a.m. All are invited to attend.

Newtown Borough
The Newtown Memorial Day Parade scheduled for tomorrow has been cancelled due to weather.

Roselle Park
Due to the high expectation of severe inclement weather on May 30th, tomorrow's Memorial Day Parade and Townwide Picnic have been canceled. The annual Memorial Day Ceremony of "The Reading Of The Names" will stay take place inside the Casano Community Center at 11 a.m. The rain date for the Townwide Picnic will be announced at a future Mayor & Council meeting.

Sayreville
The Memorial Day Parade scheduled for tomorrow has been cancelled due to weather concerns. It will not be rescheduled .

Riverside
Memorial Day parade cancelled due to impending rain. There will be no make up date. Happy Memorial Day!

Rutherford
Memorial Day parade canceled. Wreath toss and rifle salute ceremony will be held at 8 a.m. at Union Ave. Bridge and rifle salute at Sunset Park at 8:30 a.m.
