After a holiday weekend reserved for honoring those who have lost their lives serving our country, it was up to Jerry Recco to get us back into the swing of things, which he did Tuesday morning by providing an informative and entertaining update.
He did so right after Craig listened to Kim Jones' guttural reaction to Todd Walker's home run that gave the Mets the lead for good in a win over the visiting White Sox on Monday. Though Walker's blast was key, the true magic came courtesy of much-maligned Matt Harvey, who was dominant over seven innings in the 1-0 victory.
We also heard all about the Yankees' 4-2 loss to the Blue Jays and the Warriors' Game 7 victory over the Thunder. In addition, the guys took a call from a fella named "John" who actually got to see the Mets' 1986 anniversary celebration Saturday night.
