Threat Of Severe Weather Cancels Last Day Of Governors Ball

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The last day of Governors Ball has been cancelled due to the threat of severe weather.

"Sunday, June 5th of Gov Ball 2016 has officially been cancelled, due to severe weather and a high likelihood of lightning in the area. The safety of fans, artists and crew always comes first," the music festival said in a release.

The festival said that customers who purchased a Sunday ticket and transportation ticket through the Governors Ball's ticketing page will receive a refund.

Those who purchased a three-day pass and a three-day transportation pass will receive a partial and pro-rated refund.

Kanye West, Death Cab for Cutie, Prophets of Rage and Eagles of Death Metal were scheduled to perform Sunday.
