2 Killed In Separate Shootings In Bronx
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Two people were killed in separate shootings in the Bronx late Saturday night.
Police said one of the victims was a paraplegic.
Investigators said 31-year-old Eric Oliver was in a wheelchair when he was shot in the head around 11:30 p.m. Saturday.
It happened right in front of an apartment building at 903 Rogers Pl.
And before that shooting, police said less than a mile away, a 29-year-old woman was shot at a playground.
It happened around 10 p.m. on Westchester Avenue.
Investigators said there was some sort of dispute when someone started firing.
The woman, who was sitting on a bench, was shot once in the stomach.
She was rushed to a local hospital where she died.
No arrests have been made in either shooting.
