Help Vote Mike & The Mad Dog Into The National Radio Hall Of Fame

NEW YORK (WFAN) -- You can help put Mike and the Mad Dog in the Hall of Fame.

WFAN's legendary dynamic duo has been nominated for induction into the National Radio Hall of Fame. Voting is being held exclusively through text messaging until June 30 at 11:59 p.m.

You may vote by texting the words "Mike and the Mad Dog" to 36500. Message and data rates may apply.

Mike Francesa and Chris "Mad Dog" Russo are one of four nominees in the Hall's Spoken Word On-Air Personality category. Other nominees are Diane Rehm, Michael Savage and Sean Hannity. The highest vote-getter will be inducted into the Hall of Fame.

The results will be announced July 11. The induction ceremony will be held Nov. 17 at the Museum of Broadcast and Communications in Chicago.

Francesa and Russo worked together for 19 years on WFAN before their show ended in 2008. Francesa still hosts a show on weekday afternoons on WFAN. Russo now has his own channel on Sirius XM.

In March, Mike and the Mad Dog got together for a live reunion show in front of a soldout crowd at Radio City Music Hall.

The National Radio Hall of Fame is a museum dedicated to recognizing those who have contributed to the development of radio throughout its history in the U.S. Its gallery is located in Chicago.
