Police: 14-Year-Old Boy Arrested In Attack On Muslim Man In Queens

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police said one of three teenage suspects is under arrest in connection with the brutal attack on a Muslim man in Queens earlier this month.

A 14-year-old boy was charged Monday with assault as a hate crime, police said. His name has not been released.

The incident happened back on June 1.

Mohamed Rasheed Khan, 59, had just left the Center for Islamic Studies in Jamaica when police said he was attacked by three teens while riding his bicycle.

Khan was punched in the face and head and fell off his bike, police said. He suffered bruising to the face and a concussion, police said.

The other two suspects are still being sought.
