Rangers Start 2016-17 With Home-Heavy Slate
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The New York Rangers will play eight of their first 11 games of the 2016-17 season at Madison Square Garden, including their season opener against the archrival Islanders on Oct. 13.
The NBA released the 2016-17 schedules for all 30 teams on Tuesday.
The Blueshirts' longest homestand will be four games from Feb. 5 to Feb. 11. They also go on a pair of four-game road trips -- one in November and one in March.
Last season, the Rangers went 46-27-9 (101 points). They were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs by the eventual Stanley Cup champion Pittsburgh Penguins.
Single-game tickets will go on sale to the public in September.
