Police: Suspect Wanted For Punching Cop In Face In Brooklyn
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police in Brooklyn are looking for a suspect who they said escaped from custody after punching an officer in the face.
It happened Friday night at the Bushwick houses on Bushwick Avenue in East Williamsburg.
Police said 25-year-old Brian Ackwood was being placed under arrest when he struck the officer and fled. The officer was left with a laceration to the left eye, police said.
Ackwood is described by police as being 6-feet-tall and 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a blue baseball cap, black sneakers and a dark blue shirt.
