Nassau County Reissues No-Swim Advisory At 19 Local Beaches
MINEOLA, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) — The Nassau County Department of Health has issued an advisory warning residents not to swim at 19 beaches due to potential health risks.
According to officials, runoff from July 4th storms could lead to higher bacteria levels in the water.
Nassau county issued an advisory at the same 19 beaches on Saturday, following downpours on July 1.

The advisory went into effect Saturday. It is unclear how long the advisory will remain in place.
