Woman Alleges Cowboys' Ezekiel Elliott Assaulted Her

COLUMBUS, Ohio (CBSNewYork) -- A woman claiming to be Ezekiel Elliott's former live-in girlfriend says the Dallas Cowboys' rookie running back assaulted her as she sat in her parked car.

Tiffany Thompson filed a report with the Columbus Police Department at 2:35 a.m. Friday alleging the assault.

Elliott, who turned 21 Friday, denied both the accusations and that he and Thompson ever lived together, police said.

He was not arrested because of conflicting witness statements, according to police. Cops interviewed four witnesses, including someone who was in the car at the time of the alleged incident, and all said they did not see an assault.

Thompson later posted photos to Instagram of bruises on her arms, hands, legs and neck.

"This has been happening to me for months and it finally got out of control to where I was picked up and thrown across the room by my arms," she wrote. "Thrown into walls, Being choked to where I have to gasp for breath. Bruised everywhere, mentally and physically abused."

Tiffany Thompson posted photos to Instagram of bruises she claims were the result of domestic abuse.

She switched her Instagram account to private after media began linking to the photos.

An NFL spokesman said Friday the league will review the allegations against Elliott under its personal conduct policy.

The Cowboys selected Elliott with the fourth overall pick in April's draft. He played three seasons at Ohio State, rushing for more than 1,800 yards each of the past two years and helping Ohio State win the national championship after the 2014 season.
