Long Island Man Accused Of Using Neighbors' Mailboxes To Deliver Heroin
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork)-- A Long Island man is accused of using his neighbors' mailboxes as a heroin delivery service.
East Hampton police arrested 24-year-old Joseph Dowling, of Sag Harbor, during a "buy and bust" operation.
Officers said they caught the man dropping off the heroin inside a mailbox at a home on Lighthouse Lane. Police said Dowling regularly used mailboxes in the area to drop off drugs.
He has been charged with third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument and drug possession with intent to sell.
