Police: Men Stole Rabbit In Cage, Other Items From Bronx Apartment

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Sunday were searching for two suspects who allegedly stole a rabbit in a cage, along with other items, from a Bronx apartment last month.

Police said around 6 p.m. Monday, June 27, the suspects got into an apartment near Crotona Park East and 174th Street, in the Crotona Park East section of the Bronx, through an unlocked door.

They stole a rabbit inside a cage, as well as a metal bracelet and a passport, police said.

One of the suspects was described as a black male standing about 5 feet 11 inches tall with black eyes and long hair with braids. He was last seen wearing a red shirt, black shorts, white and black sneakers, a black baseball hat, and he was also seen carrying the rabbit cage.

The second suspect was described as a black male, last seen wearing a light blue T-shirt, blue shorts, white sneakers and a blue baseball hat.

Police have released surveillance photos from the lobby of the building where the burglary happened.
