Horrified Twin Tries In Vain To Stop Brother's Bleeding After Brooklyn Shooting

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are looking for the person who gunned down a college student in Brooklyn early Friday morning.

Witnesses said his twin brother tried to stop the bleeding.

As CBS2's Alice Gainer reported, 22-year-old Terrell Henry majored in criminal justice at John Jay College, but early Friday morning his dreams of a future in the FBI were cut short when he was gunned down.

"Around 12:50 my fiancee woke me up because we heard shots," Abbe Walker said.

Walker and her fiancee looked out their window and saw Henry on the ground, bleeding outside their gate.

They called 911, then saw Henry's twin brother covering his wounds with his hands.

"I heard some screaming and I thought maybe it was him and I thought that he was conscious, but then I realized it was his brother just very upset, screaming," Walker said.

Police said Henry and his brother had been at a party on Covert Street. Henry left to go to a nearby bodega to buy juice. When he crossed back over he was shot, police said.

The twins' father was beside himself this afternoon.

"Terrell was such a good son," he said.

He said he always paid for private schools to keep his kids away from trouble.

"Never missed school, never missed a job," he said.

Police said Terrell Henry had no criminal record and it's unclear if he was targeted. So far there have been no arrests.
