Water Geyser Erupts In Sunset Park After Pipe Breaks
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - A broken pipe sent a geyser of water flying high into the air in Sunset Park Friday morning.
The incident took place at 49th Street between 4th and 5th avenues in Brooklyn.
The jet of water could be seen shooting at least 20 feet in the air.
The geyser prompted the Department of Environmental Protection to shut off water to the block to stop water from flowing into the broken pipe. The shut down impacted some 200 customers.
No word yet on the cause of the geyser.
