Nearly Dozen Families Displaced By Huge Fire At Paterson Apartment Complex
PATERSON, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- Firefighters battled a huge fire Sunday night in Paterson, New Jersey, that displaced nearly a dozen families.
The flames broke out at the Inca Village Apartment Complex on Harrison Street.
Firefighters from Paterson and Passaic were able to get the fire under control.
Tisha Miller said all the residents made it out on time, but her mother's apartment was gutted by the fire.
"When it went up it just started spreading," Miller said. "It went from one side to the next side. You had to knock on the doors to get people out."
The New Jersey Red Cross is on hand to help at least 11 families displaced by the fire.
