Police Investigating Early Morning Shooting In Inwood
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are investigating an early morning shooting in the Inwood section of Manhattan.
It happened around 4:40 a.m. Monday near the intersection of Tenth and Sherman avenues.
Five or six shots were heard ringing out through the neighborhood at the time of the incident. Multiple police squads rushed to the scene shortly afterward.
Police said a man was shot once in the head. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
The suspect fled the scene. No other details are known.
The investigation is ongoing.
