Report: Mike Tyson Swiped Ice Cream Bar From Stand At US Open

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- That's cold, Mike.

Former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson swiped an ice cream bar from a Ben & Jerry's kiosk at the US Open on Monday night and then bolted without paying, the New York Post reported, citing multiple sources.

According to the newspaper, Tyson approached the stand, reached inside the freezer and grabbed the frosty treat before walking off.

"I was like, 'Are you serious? Am I imagining this?'" a worker told the Post.

"What are you going to do, fight him? He's Mike Tyson."

The incident happened at the club level area of Arthur Ashe Stadium while Novak Djokovic was playing Jerzy Janowicz.

After allegedly taking the $5.50 "Half Baked" ice cream bar, Tyson ignored a female employee who shouted, 'Excuse me, are you going to pay for that?'"

When told about what happened, the woman's boss said to her, "Oh, it's Mike Tyson, let it go," a witness told the Post.

Tyson's publicist said there was a misunderstanding and that Brooklyn-born ex-fighter "was going to have the host pay for it as he was running around with his family." She added that the host, a United States Tennis Association executive, got the money from Tyson and paid for the snack.
