Woman Catches Man Performing Lewd Act In Queens Subway Station, Police Say

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Tuesday were searching for a suspect who was seen performing a lewd act while staring at a woman in a Queens elevated subway station late last month.

Around 11:40 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, the 28-year-old woman was in the 46th Street No. 7 Train station, at 46th Street and Queens Boulevard in Sunnyside, Queens, when she saw the man masturbating on the northbound platform and starting at her, police said.

The woman took a picture of the suspect as he ran off, police said.

The suspect was described as a black male between the ages of 30 and 40, standing 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighing about 275 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, black pants, and black sneakers, and he had on a black backpack, police said.
