Man Shot, Wounded In Downtown Brooklyn

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Police late Thursday were searching for a gunman who shot a 21-year-old man in downtown Brooklyn.

The shooting happened around 8 p.m. at Chapel and Jay streets, police said.

CBS2 was told the victim was hit twice in the chest.

He was rushed to New York Methodist Hospital in an unknown condition.

Police said the shooter took off in a four-door sedan.
