Police: LI Woman Facing DWAI Charge After Striking Man Mowing Lawn

RIDGE, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- A woman was arrested after allegedly crashing her car into a landscaper while under the influence.

According to police, Brianna Hassett, 24, of Wading River, was driving a 2005 Cadillac eastbound on Route 25  at 11:50 a.m. Tuesday when she crashed into a man who was mowing a nearby lawn

Anibal Aceituno-Perez, 52, of Flanders, was taken to Peconic Bay Medical Center in critical condition, officials said.

Hassett is expected to be arraigned in Central Islip on Wednesday.
