9/14 CBS2 Wednesday Afternoon Weather Headlines

By Justin Lewis

We're feelin' hot this afternoon as we make a run for the upper 80s -- in fact, we could even see some records before the day is out! Now, as far as the wet weather goes, we probably won't see our line of showers/storms arrive until late this afternoon, but by then, the line may dry out a bit, too. Either way, have the umbrella handy!

Some early showers will then give way to clearing skies with blustery conditions. It will be a little cooler than last night, too, with temps falling into the low 60s by daybreak.

Tomorrow will be about 10-15° cooler as a more seasonable air mass settles in. So, expect a good deal of sun, but highs will struggle to even get into the mid 70s.

This will be the story through Friday as cool, Canadian high pressure continues to dominate over the northeast. And even into Saturday it will be generally nice with just a few more clouds and highs in the upper 70's to around 80°.
